Why us

Why people use this salary evaluator

Most calculators only ask for a job title. Here you get an adjustable evaluation report — published bands, other markets, and parameters you control.

Role-based pay bands

Not just a vague job title. Match everyday roles and regions to published P25 / median / P75 samples.

Multi-market comparison

See how the same role’s median shifts across published regions — switch markets and the bar updates.

Skill bumps

Check common skills and see how far the marker moves toward the top of the range. It is a reference, not a promised raise.

FAQ

Salary evaluator FAQ

How does this salary evaluator work?

Pick a field, role, years, country, and region. The report shows an annual pay band, same-country comparisons, and skill bumps. No resume upload.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes — free, no signup or card. A local draft can stay in your browser session so you can keep twisting dials. We don’t collect contacts.

How accurate is “what is my role worth”?

It’s an approximate range from published statistics samples — not an employer offer or a live salary database. Use it as negotiation prep, then cross-check postings and official surveys.

How are skill bumps calculated?

A simple rule: each checked skill nudges your marker toward P75, with a cap. It’s for feel — not a promised dollar raise.

Does it work for my location?

We currently cover several U.S. and Japan published regions (including national samples). If an exact city isn’t in the table, we fall back to the closest published region and label it.

How is this different from Glassdoor or Levels.fyi?

Crowd-sourced sites often average a title. We focus on everyday roles against public stats, an interactive evaluation report, and entertainment packaging — no upload, no promises.

Is my data private?

No resume upload and nothing is stored on our servers. Optional drafts live only in your browser session and can be cleared anytime.

How should I use the estimate?

Confirm the role, country, and region first. Treat the annual band as a map, not a quote. Then compare it with job posts and official surveys.

Guidance

How to use your salary evaluation

The tool infers a band from the role, years, and region you pick. It does not query a live employer budget or know benefits, hours, or negotiation outcomes.

Check the selected profile and currency first. Compare the range with current postings and published surveys. Treat skill bumps and market rows as hypotheses to investigate — not promised raises.

Before applying in that range, make sure your experience clearly shows what the role needs. The band is a map; your stories are the gas.

Evaluations are market benchmarks for negotiation prep — not job offers.
